AQI 150
Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups
7/18 - An Air Quality Action Day for Particulate Matter (PM2.5) has been declared for Saturday, July 18th. Sensitive individuals, including those with heart or lung disease, the elderly, and the young should limit strenuous activities and the amount of time active outdoors. A low pressure system is expected to impact the region on Saturday, providing the chance for heavy rain/thunderstorms and breezy southerly winds. This wind direction will be favorable as it will begin to gradually push residual Canadian wildfire smoke north of the region, with any heavy rain/thunderstorms potentially helping to reduce elevated levels as well. While air quality is expected to slightly improve, PM2.5 will remain in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) category statewide, with the potential for isolated areas to reach the Unhealthy category. Additionally, ozone levels will drop to the low Moderate category statewide. 7/19 - Breezy northwesterly winds, cooler temperatures in the low to mid 80s, and sunny skies are expected on Sunday as high pressure begins to move into the region. PM2.5 levels are expected to drop to the Moderate category statewide as any lingering Canadian wildfire smoke pushes out of the region. Ozone levels are forecast to remain along the Good/Moderate threshold across New Jersey. 7/20 - Air quality is expected to drop to the Good category statewide on Monday as winds shift to a southerly/onshore flow, accompanied by mostly sunny skies and seasonable temperatures.

Nota de la fuente: Las lecturas de toda la ciudad son una buena base, pero los cañones urbanos, puentes y andenes exteriores pueden sentirse peores que el número principal.
